3 out of 4 Doctors Recommend Me…

OK look, normally you’d expect a hilarious song and dance telling you about the doctors calls and resulting information I promised you yesterday. There’d be dancing ponies and showgirls, meat platters surrounding pumpkin sized cheese-balls and all the peppermint schnapps you can drink…

Because otherwise, in most cases, the way I get the information is pretty boring and mildly depressing. Since you know I can’t stand anything being boring and mildly depressing – except my sister but I’m used to her. I have no choice but to make any information I relay to you, into a 4 Star, Broadway/Hollywood Production but this time I’m just going to leave it unvarnished.

I will attempt only one trick, one brilliant flash of ethereal shenanigans – by giving you a thrill – by letting you live vicariously through me, and through the magic of the internet – for one brief moment you will be me, as I received the information. I wouldn’t blame you if you went ahead and wrote it in your diaries tonight…

So now here are you, as me receiving the information…. curtain and ……. scene –

ACTION — Doctor 1 the  Cardiac Surgeon, sent me an email, (his secretary did) and it simply says; “Dr has approved pacemaker – case forwarded to Pacemaker implantation team, you will receive a call letting you know when the surgery has been scheduled.” CUT — End Scene…

That’s it. So one surgery to implant the pacemaker, then about 1 month later a second operation, once we know the pacemaker is working – to sever the connection between the atria and the ventricles and then I am living solely on the power of AA batteries…

Quiet Please… sound….. and ACTION —- “Doctor 2, Neurologist, left a phone message, we’d like you to come in for a follow-up. Please call to confirm appointment.” CUT — End Scene…..

That’s it.

See, see how not fun that is, don’t you wish I had given it the full and considerable weight of my wit and charm to dazzle, amaze and fill you with the magical wonderment that is my world. Quiet, if you remain very very still you can just, ever so faintly hear the music that’s always playing in my head – it’s the theme from Shaft…

Have a Great Weekend.
