Testing my Lady Bits….
Today, for the first time, in a long time…. I felt stirrings – deep inside my womb.
Feeling better than yesterday and miles better than the day before, we took the kids to see the movie “Babies” – It was terrific. In case you don’t know what it is about, it’s a documentary – where the filmmakers followed 4 different babies and their families from first breath to first steps and everything in between. The families are in San Francisco, Tokyo, Mongolia and Namibia. See the trailer HERE.
It goes on to show that even with these four exceptionally different environments, the development and milestones come at remarkable similar points in each young life. Seeing them smile, feed, crawl, bathe, explore and learn is a real treat and highly entertaining, with several full blown laugh out loud moments. Even at such young ages, it’s interesting to see the very distinct personalities emerge.
For the more observant of my readers, you will have noticed that earlier, I mentioned a womb. I’m going to go ahead and let you in on a little secret, I have no womb. Nope – sorry, nary a fallopian in sight, but the babies were soooo cute & engaging in the film, I started craving pickles and ice cream and OH, how my uterus ached… You cant help but instantly want a baby of your own…
Actually, its a bit of an inside joke. During a particularly heavy session of medical tests my doctor kept running on me, and after a ridiculous number of specialists he had sent me to see… we joked with him about setting up an appointment with a Gynecologist for a Pap Smear, that cracked him up pretty good and we all had a good laugh.
My smear results were normal….
Have a great day.
Hi Slightly Christopher….you sound divine and all Christopher…however I forbid you have a womb…did they only give you female blood or what??? I’m dying to see this movie…heard about it on CBC a couple of months ago and they showed the babies from each country and explained the experiment…it sounded incredible.
